Now your wish ends here.  The American company InFocus has just launched a new smartphone in InFocus India after a long slumber – the InFocus Turbo 5. Priced at only INR 6,999 Turbo 5 is their new fighter in the budget segment as it has a lot more packed inside.

Infocus Turbo 5 is not just fancy in the name but is good in power too. This budget phone is an all-rounder inbuilt and specs at the price it is available for. It has a metallic unibody, a mammoth sized battery and lots of other attractive features, some of which are hard to find in budget phones. There are two variants of this device – one has 2 GB RAM and the other has 3 GB. The 3 GB edition has 32 GB internal storage while the 2 GB variant has only 16 GB.

Bearing in mind that this is a competitively priced budget phone, the company managed to put some good specs.

Foxconn, the leading manufacturer of some of the best smartphones, has a huge part in this phone for hardware. Turbo 5 features a 5.2” screen which is comfortable in size and packs a good HD resolution. It has a metallic body which packs 5000 mAh battery inside which can easily last up to two days at normal usage. It is brilliant because they are providing such a powerful battery within such a reasonable price. And considering the big battery, the size of the phone is very sleek and appealing.

Powering the phone, we have a MediaTek chipset and the quad-core processor. Along with 3 or 2 GB RAM option, it performs very well for a budget phone. The internal storage options are also different ranging from 16 GB and 32 GB. The 3 GB RAM InFocus Turbo 5  model costs INR 7,999 and the 2 GB model costs Rs 6,999.

 

 

The device is running on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box which gives great power saving, new features, and security. In the realm of sensors, we get the Ambient light sensor, Magnetometer, Compass and much more. Turbo 5 is actually available in exclusive Mocha Gold color which gives it a very classy look. At the top, we also see 2.5D glass over the LCD screen. This makes its look good as well as feel good in one’s hand.

Impression :

InFocus Turbo 5, priced so competitively, houses a quad core processor which is enough for medium level usage. 2 GB or 3GB RAM is still sufficient for medium multi-tasking as well. In terms of storage, users can install a Micro SD card to expand if they are not satisfied with 16 or 32 GB.(expandable up to 32GB).
The 13 mp camera at the back takes very sharp pictures but can only shoot videos up to 720p. Front 5 MP camera can take good selfies. Considering all the power-packed specs, it is reasonably light in weight (164 g).

Conclusion

In our view, this Turbo 5 is meant for average Indian consumer with entry budget. There are fancy features like Fingerprint sensor as well. InFocus has packed a lot into this phone. So, if you are in the market to buy a new smartphone and are on a budget, InFocus Turbo 5 is worth a look. We hope to see more of such phones in future.
